fe intake hood clearance

 I was just wondering if anyone has an FE engine in a 57 and is using a Performer RPM intake. I was going to use one on my 390 but was told that I wouldn't have enough hood clearance. Anyone have experience with this?

I have a 460 with the performer or air gap intake no problems.

Had several FE's in mine without a problem. Even med riser w/1" plates.
