Anyone used the Alan Grove A/C brackets for the 292?

I spent all day installing the bracket set that incorporates the alternator and the Sanden 508 compressor. I am havng problems with the fitting hitting the bottom of the block.  Can you rotate these housings on the end of the compressors?  Or is there a different version of the compressor with different fitting configuration?

I had to exchange my top fitting compressor for a rear discharge unit. Mark

Who did you buy yours through?  LIke an aftermarket dealer or a local parts house? 

This is kinda what I was thinking I might have to do.

I bought the compressor and altenator  from summit, I sent it back for the exchange and they covered the return shipping, even though it was my error. Can't beat that. The rear discharge compressor arrived in a vintage air box. But I believe summit had the best price. Mark
