hi,  i had 1 of my cars painted this summer with base coat clear coat,    usually i store my 1 car outside during the winter, covered of course with a cover from california covers,  so i can work on the other cars,  my question is,  i've painted cars in lacquer and stored them outside and the paint would crack,  do u think i would have any problems with the base coat clear coat??????????????,  thanks    jerry

Jerry,
Base coat/clearcoat doesn't hold up as well as single stage.
It doesn't crack like lacquer though. It should be fine if covered.
Just keep moisture out of the cover.

Lacquer was bad to crack, cold or hot weather once it got a little age on it.The shop were I work at,base coat clear coat is all we have used for years.Just put you a good coat of polish on it and a good cover and it will be fine. Tarheel57 :burnout:
