Finally on the road!

After 2 1/2 years of work my 57 Custom is finally driveable.  This car is a hoot.  A real time machine that brings back so many memories for me.  The exhaust system is custom duals with Walker mufflers and it sounds awesume.   I still need an interior, door gaskets, side mirror and some sorting out. Very nice!  Well done.  I am just beginning that journey, have the engine and transmission and have started the body work.

Congratulations on a very nicely done car.  I remember when I got my 57 back on the road in 2004, after being off the road for over two years, with the new engine, interior and all the other refurbishments that I had done at that time.  What a great feeling, the congratulations from others, the trophy's at shows and the sheer pleasure of driving your creation. 

I'm looking forward to the next couple of months and getting my 57 back on the road again.  I sure hope by taking my 57's body down to bare metal, getting rid of the few rust areas, finally knowing what kind of preparation went into all aspects of the car and being able to choose the colors I really want is worth it.
