now for 1 of my dummer questions,       for tires,  what is considered old?,  or unsafe?,  thanks   Jerry

Jerry,
   I think if you can see the top of Lincolns head using a penny in the tread it's time to replace the tires. If a tire is weather checked (cracks in the sidewall) it's time to replace them. Also if your car wobbles when coming to a stop you have broken belts in the tires. Jim

There's a date code on the tires. google tire date code and you should find it. :002: You don't need to take out a qtr panel etc
because of old tires. I change radials in 6 yrs approx.
I hate blocksanding!

ok,  thanks for all the input,      to put it mildly,  if i have to ask if the tires are safe,  they probly arn't,  thanks again,    jerry

Glad you checked them Jerry. Sure is gonna ride better and be safer. It's a pain in
the ass if body work or injury is caused by something so easy to easy to remedy :burnout:
