I need to replace the rubber sheet which goes between the metal cover at the base of the steering column and the firewall. dennis carpenter doesn't list any such part. Has anyone had to make there own one of these?

if my description isn't clear i can take a picture later today.

The weird gasket you are refering to is called a "Seal-Steering column weather" P/N B7A-3513-B, 57/58 ALL. Also there is a second seal that goes on top of the carpet or rubber floor matt, "Seal-steering tube to floor" P/N 11A-3514. These items can be found in the current Concours Parts catalog, page 37. In the Dennis Carpenter Catalog 52/59, you can fine these items under "Steering column to floor sears" page 20 in the 2009 catalog. Happy Holidays.

Ok, the pictures in the catalogue were pretty unclear, they had some conflicting stuff pictured there.

Thanks for the info.
