Looking at a new 57 (bring opinions here)

I'm getting a little excited, i may have a new addition to my stable.

I found a 57 fairlane 2 door post on the local kijiji site for 3000$. It is an old restoration project that got stalled about 10 years ago. i talked to the guy tonight and i'm going to go check it out on saturday.

apparently the quarters have been replaced at some time in the past, the glass is out and front clip is off. It was stripped to bare metal and epoxy primed. it comes with fiberglass front fenders and everything in the front clip has been epoxy primed. the bumpers and grill have been rechromed and are still in the chromers paper. it comes with a 68 302 HO and a 4 speed. Body is still on the frame and is in good shape.  

i am excited for what the weekend brings.

sounds like a hell of a deal...particularly if the floors and rest are solid.

P.S. It use to be cars like this were called "basket cases" and you couldn't get didly squat for them..not like that any more.
