Distributor Interchange question.

I have a factory rebuilt distributor with gear for a 1960 T-Bird 352 that I bought 30+ years ago, I've been told that it will fit 55/57 Ford V8. Is that true?

Don't think so, the FE series has a larger drive gear and is shorter then the Y-Block.  I believ I read that but can't say for sure where....

That would be for an FE mtr only I believe.

looking at my old hollander,would need the number off of the distributor to be sure,it will fit 57 to 66 272,292,312,332,352,361,368,390,410,430.may fit other years,but my book only covers 57 to 66.hope this helps
