Should I buy a pressure washer and wash my 312 y block?

Should i buy a pressure washer and tear my 312 y block down to the core then put it on engine stand and power wash it down? Or just drop it off at machine shop?

If your getting the engine rebuilt I would just drop it off at the engine shop. Hot tanking or baking the block is part of the engine rebuilding process.
