Sorry for repeating the post I was unable to find an earlier thread that I had read this information.  I am looking for the Door Flipper Springs.  I had read that Melvin?s had them but when I contacted them today they advised that they did not carry them.  I had found C&G and Macs carry them but there only listed as 1956.  I was unsure if anyone had any success with using those. I also contacted restoration specialties and they were unsure what I meant and advised that I would need to photo and measure the old ones and they might be able to locate something that may work. I read on another thread that the 57 Chevy springs may work.  Any insight or a location to buy would be greatly appreciated.   Jim

listed below is the C&G Link

I went around and around trying to get a straight answer and never really came up with anything concrete. I would think by now that there would be a fix somewhere out there, as there are a lot of Hardtops using these.

I was lucky and got a pretty good used replacement set on ebay for not a ton of money.  The Chevy's look close but I was not convinced enough to put out the funds for a new Repo Chevy flipper ($240.00). They can be found on ebay too http://www.ebay.com/itm/56-57-Chevy-Belair-150-210-Hardtop-Window-Flipper-Pair-NEW-/200700499857.
