Old Man with Bad Memory - I am at the point of hooking up the 3 speed trans shift rods from the steering column to the shift arms on the transmission.  The trans has a 9 bolt side cover.  The only way I have been able to hook up the shift arms from the steering column is for one of the rods to attach to the shift arm from the outside of the arm, while the other shift rod attaches from the inside of the other shift arm and I do not believe this is correct according to my shop manual,(page 3-3 - figure 3).

In looking at page 3-9 - figure 1 the shift arms on the trans seemed to be installed in reverse on my trans..  The arm on the front  appears to have more of an angle with the arm farther towards the rear of the trans has less of an angle.

If anyone has a picture of their transmission linkage both at the transmission and at the steering column it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.
