E-code 500 2dr on Hemmings

Last Fridays Hemmings newsletter had for the "find of the day" an E-CODE '57 Fairlane 2 dr Hardtop which was in storage for 45 years and is in need of restoration, but appears to be complete and solid. The owner posted that at some time in the past someone had swapped out the 2 4bbl configuration for 3 2's, and had done a very amatuerish red oxide primer.  Car is in Dallas and if I remember they are asking 16k something.

I bought a "E" model (in fact two of them in 1992) but body work had been done and they had been painted, it took me 6 years and $8500.00 to finish one. The other one I had 10 years and sold 90% completed. I got 30K for the finished one, and 22K for the last one. FYI: The 2x4 aircleaners cost me a grand apiece.
