i put that i was having a problem with the heater core,   or the vacumn hookup and temp lever on the control panel that goes to the heater core,    anyway i replaced the heater core,  got the wrong vacumn hookyp from Concours sent it back, lput the old one on and all i get is cold air, theres heat up to the conection on the heater core, but it dosen't get past the vacumn dashklpod like the vacumn hookuyp isn'[t workiong,   anyway i called Concours and there sending me the right vacumn hook up i hope,    but someone said that if something wasn't working that i would either get hot or cold air,   and i can't remember who it was,   he also told me that he put somekind of tee in line to get heat,      i must have deleted the discussion i had,   and would like to get back to the guy to find out how he did the thing with the tee again,     thanks for letting me ramble on again.

There is two parts that have vacumn for the heater the first one has the control cable from the dash, as you push it to the right it allows more vacumn go to the second part it is in the heater core and acts like a valce . So the farther you push the lever to the right the more vacumn is allowed to the valve on the heater core allowing more flow of hot water giving more heat. The other thing is that the vacumn supply to the heater should be from the dual part of the fuel pump if not you step on the gas hard no vacumn to the flo valve equals no or low heat.

HI, TIS I, first, on your fire wall side of your heater look for a lever with a wire attached on the lower inside- push it towards the fire wall to get heat pull away to shut off heat to core. Second you have a small cricket switch that your vacume line fron the carb & the top ( left-right ) lever wire attach to - this regulates the amount of heat to the car ( check & see if the switch works when you move the lever back & forth ) also with the car running disconnect the vacume line to the switch & see if you have air flowing ( this is what opens your heat switch ). My switch stopped working so I ran a piece of hose from the vacume side to a small T valve under my dash & back to the other side of the cricket switch - I had either on or off heat, it can't be regulated but worked just fine til I got a new cricket switch!
