I have a 57 custom 300. Does it matter witch hose goes on top of heater core, meaning manifold or water pump. Does flow make a difference with heater controler?  390 ford.

dmraymond,
I used a inline regulator ( water shut off ) valve on the line that sends water from the engine to the heater. That way I could control the input of hot water, not the return. On the engine, that's the one that on the intake. Heated water comes from the intake through the TOP of the heater Core and returns to the Water Pump fitting. The other engines I've looked at is configured this way. Good Luck, Jim    BTW, for some reason if you don't have the bottom lever ( OFF  HEAT  DEFROST ) off, you'll get so much heat out of the box anyway.
If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.
