I am planning a 351w in my car this winter. I was looking for a C4, but also finding FMX. Which one do you think would be better as far as bolt in (less modifications)?

Hey,
I did the 351w swap two years ago, I have a c4, and no problem at all slid right in. Had to modify the drive shaft, but that is it. Know this winter I'm taking it out to do a complete rebuild of the motor.
Thanks,

The FMX that is behind the 351C in my 36 Chevy was a junk yard piece that was cleaned up, new seals, new ATF and ran for close to 110K (before the great flood of 92 in Louiseville) in my car with an unknown number of miles on it when pulled out of the wrecked 72 Ranchero in 74.  Bullit proof, heavy, parts readily available.....C-4 would be an excellent choise as well.

Is there any modding to the trans crossmember? Sounds like the C4 bolts in.
