No, this isn't a thread about those ol' chevy's, or Las Vegas either.
Have any of you watched the new "Vegas" show on CBS Monday nights?? It's set in the 60's in what I guess is suppose to be Vegas (curious where they are filming it). Anyways, tons of 60's cars in the show..haven't seen any '57's yet, but really enjoyed watching the old cars and 60's dress. Show itself isn't that great, so I don't suspect it'll be on for long, but I think any of us baby boomers will enjoy it for the settings.

Thanks Rich, I usually don't watch those kind of shows but I'll check it out. I love the Twilight Zone marathons during the holidays, plenty of 57's  :003:

Rich, I noticed that too, lots of old fords and pretty women. A couple weeks ago there was a black and yellow hardtop 57, neat stuff.I get a kick out of the phone booths, no cell phones.  Mark

Rich:

Been watching it since the beginning.  I, too enjoy seeing the older cars and background elements from the early 60's.  I really like the mix of modern cinematic techniques coupled with the styles of those years.  I don't get as much enjoyment from watching old "Leave it to Beaver" episodes.  I guess to each their own.

This week was my first episode. Like Bob, I think what I like about it is the quality of current video techniques. They do a good job keeping everything in view 60's looking, but without the poorer quality of the actual old films...gotta be tough. Does anyone know where they film it?

I watched the show a few times, the show takes place in 1960, but there are several 1963 cars in it.

Guys:

While at the Ford Car Club Council last Saturday, one of the Council members announced that his cars were being used in the new Vegas show.  He's primarily a Ford guy, but has some other makes, too.  He does have a very nice 57 Fairlane 500, but I don't think I've seen it on the Vegas show yet.  His cars run from early T-birds to a number of 60's Fords 2 and 4 doors.  I believe he has about 20 vehicles many are used for the movies.  Here are a couple of shots of his 57, one at Knott's the other at a 40's Ford Show a few months later.  The car has been fully restored and is very nicely done.
