Can someone with a factory Overdrive tell me where I should mount the overdrive cable pull under my dash? Just give me a measurement off the steering column in inches.Or maybe a reference measurement from another point on the dash, like ash trey or glove box.  Looks like the bracket should lay on the top side of the lip and then run a bolt through with nut on bottom? Thanks!

I do not have the car anymore but the Overdrive cable handle was to the right of the steering column.  I'm sure it was in between column and where the two driver vent screws supported the housing.  r

Thanks for your reply......anybody else out there?

It's 12 1/4 in from center of steering colume to center of o/d bracket. That is the measurement on a fairlane 500, I see no reason that it would not be the same on the rancho.

This is good info. The follow up question is,  can anyone tell me how the cable is routed and where it comes through the firewall?
