Forgot to mention this last week. On June 25th our "most online" viewers (posted at the bottom) jumped from the 122 to 229! I know James explained the 122 spike as not all being '57 folks...just people scanning internet websites for whatever devious reasons, but that 122 number was the high for years...wonder what caused the 229 spike.

Might have been some one trying to "crash" the site.  That high traffic would explain why the Forums would not link up when I tried to go to them Thursday?

I had a hard time hooking up to this site on Thursday also.

Me too, I just assumed it was a problem with James' server. That 229 day was back in June, so had nothing to do with it.

LOTS of spammers out there........and I mean A LOT!

I am a moderator on two other forums.  Shelbyforums.com and Cometcentral.com/forums and the first thing I do nearly everyday is ban a new member who only joined to push traffic to their site or whatever.  Both of these forums give you instant access when you join, unlike this one which requires approval.  I was a member early on in both of these forums and the spammers really started hitting them hard when they hit 3,000 members.
