very cool...LOL...is that where you put the sign after you took it off the pole? Don't think I've ever noticed a street sign on the ground before.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Haha, no, I didn't take it off. It's quite common here on big roundabouts like that to put the sign in there. Made it easier for me than climbing a pole. I was going to try and get the car right by the sign but a bit much traffic around, might have to do an early morning snap and go.

looks like a neat little town...where is that?
edit...forgot you were from New Zealand....if I had noticed what side of the street the cars were driving on it might have gotten the lightbulb lit.....then again..

Palmerston North, in New Zealands North Island. By the numbers, it qualifies as a city but it's really just a big town. Has one of the best speedway facilities in the country, right near the middle of town (if you're into that).
Love the sign Tom S, is it for real? I used to live on Mercury Street, No.8 no less, should never have sold it.

Yeah, it's a real street sign from almost the other side of the planet from you.  Around 30 years ago we pulled it & a couple other signs out of a river/creek about 25 miles North of own.  Near a place called Thunderbird falls.   I think somebody threw them off the bridge.
Been on my garage wall every since.  Don't know what to do with it 'cause if I displayed it somewhere I'd probably get a big fine for stealin' a street sign.

The stop sign is up near my garage though.   ;)

Well, if ya get nervous hanging onto it and want it in a safe place, send it over to the other side of the world. I'll take good care of it for ya, lol.
