if you have the heads with the 428-390-GT bolts not the up and down of 427 390 the 428-390-GTs fit fine have had 57s with them in I don't know if the 427 fairlane manifolds wood fit hard to find last set i had was 1800.00 but did not try in a 57

Thats right, I forgot I have 428 heads on my 390 with the 16 bolt pattern.

I'm sure your aware, but the long ones are 427 parts and the short ones are 406 parts.

The '63 406 in my roadster has the long ones.  I am pretty sure they came as new with this '63 engine.
I ground the casting numbers off them a long time ago so as to 'pretty them up'.  Thought later that maybe I shouldn't have. 
Wrote the numbers on the wall.
Left = C3AB-9431D, right = C2AE9430B plus a G.

Most of the old fxrts like the FE forum as is. I wish new messages would move the post to the top.
It can be a little crusty at times but there are dozens of National Record Holders and the top 6 FE engine builders in the country on there.
Even Ohio George Montgomery posts!
They will even tolorate Y-Block questions once in a while.
