Does anyone know what years Checker used ford parts in the front end that fit our fords?

I never knew that Checker used Ford parts, but would like to know more about it.
Did the Checker cars also use the name Marathon?   I do know that they were made so that parts could be taken off and replaced easily so they could be put back in service.

Got me curious so went to wikipedia, seems it was the other way. Checker produced truck cabs in the 30s for Ford. And later different panels for Ford and others. Do remember a fiend pulling a chevy V8 out of one mid 80s. Wouldn't surprise me if parts from any oems ended up in Checkers. No one builds everything. So who knows what they might have bought from Ford though it seems they were sourcing drive train components from GM .

Some guy usually brings a Checker Marathon to the Friday night car cruise here in Mass.   The next time I see him with the car, I'll talk to him and maybe find out something.

Marathon introduced in '62 replaced Superba.
