Have you looked at your keys lately?

I noticed today that the letters in the word "Ford" on the ignition key to my '57 wagon are raised (forged?), but the same letters on my tailgate key are stamped.  It's been a slow day here, so I've been killing time pondering this and wondering which was original from Ford, the stamped letters or the forged letters?  I'm guessing that the aftermarket key blanks are the ones with stamped letters, and that the raised letters are original Ford.  Anyone know for sure?  And if I'm right, are blanks with the raised letters still available anywhere?
