Valve Cover Temperature

I was looking at different paints and decals for valve covers but need to know what the temperature of y-block valve cover is.  My 312 is not currently installed, could someone with a running y-block with black steel valve covers and infrared thermometer please get engine up to running temperature with hood shut, open it and then take a temperature reading of valve cover and reply to me with the valve cover temperature and ambient temperature.  Thanks Randy
