Does anyone here have a 460 block and use the R/P system like Wruth It Design? I've read some threads by others that  thought they would be to lightweight for our heavier cars and then throw in a 460BB? I have a 58 wagon and will be ready to drop in the 460 soon so would like to here from you. If there are some running the 460 in your 57 what headers are you using and what kind of clearence problems if any did you have? I've heard the FRP shorties work well with the 460 in the 57. Also are there any good alternatives other than buying conversion motor mounts from Crites that work well, they seem a little expensive, something from the junkyard perhaps?

Thanks in advance
John

I installed a 429-460 block in my 1957 2dr.wagon a couple of years ago and used the Kit from Dearborn Classics it all lined up real well.
I used the stock exhaust manifolds of the Engine which was of  1969 ford fullsize.  i  think that an engine of a truck may have diffferent shaped exhaust manifold.  I do remember having to  make some clearence on the firewall to slide the motor in place.   I may have the 429-460 Frame mounts with motor mounts i will try to check for them today and let you know.

john, these cavalier racks that wurth it put out are justfind for our cars, the rack doesn't carry any loadon em , only has to turn a small areaof the tires foot print. beside people have been using the old mustang 2 rack in everything from big block chevys in the tri year chevys, to hemi powered gas cars. and the fatman kits still use the mustang 2 rack system. rest easy theres a few guy here that have the worth it kits and love em , i have one also going into my 57 ranchwagon with a FE motor.
