Yup, did three of those, Nam, Libya and Gulf War.  Libya was the scariest because Kadafi was certifiable!  He had a large number of aircraft and two of his five Foxtrot subs were underway and their location was unsure.  The other two were difficult but predictable.  You woke up every morning expecting to engage so there was no "wondering", although I have to admit it was a bit un-nerving taking a crap and a shower with a gas mask on your hip!

I too give thanks for those that went before me, they served so I could follow and I served in the hope that none other would have to serve after me.  I know, a pipe dream but it was worth the try....
