After. You can see the high end point adjustment hole at the top of of the gauge on the back.

By golly I'm going to try this. I never knew this fuel guage adjustments were available to me. The temp is perfect so I'll leave that one alone. But it would be great to have a fuel gauge that worked like it was suppose to. Jim  PS. Com'on guys give this guy some atta boys. He deserves it, don't you think.

Absolutly.....first I've ever heard about a fine  adjustment. Thanks for following thru with the info, Lalessi1!
Sounds like it could be used to fine tune the adjustment for a close reading like. Jim's..I suspect problems like BP's..running out of gas when showing 1/2 full...is first, more of a sender/grounding /pickup issue than fine tuning the gage
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I'll agree with Rich on this one. The calibration screws were used by the manufacturer of the gauges for a fine/final adjustment. If you are having 1/4 - 1/2 problems the problem is either elsewhere or just a bad gauge..

This is great!!!!

My now-working fuel gauge is showing 3/4 when full and needle is buried past empty when off. This actually might be a good thing so that I never go more than a 1/4 tank down! I bought this current gauge on eBay when I thought it was the gauge not working. (Turned out to be the instrument gauge voltage regulator).

I have the original gauge, so I will try on that one before thinking seriously about removing the current unit.

This is really great information for a frustrating "little detail"....THANK YOU!

i propose (for no particular reason) that the performance of bimetal electrical resistance deflection changes with age. Adjustments may be required on a case by case basis. The adjustments are available. LOL.
