Anyone running rear disc brakes, if so what source or donor car did you use?

Thanks in advance

I have used a bolt on kit from ABS Power brakes in Orange. i believe they use a later ford calipers and brackets. i had to change the proportioning valve also.

I'm not running them but have gathered the parts necessary for rear disc from Lincoln MK VII. I purchased brackets from "ULTRASTANG" website. I then located complete rebuildable calipers and new rotors. All still sitting in boxes. I would be willing to sell below cost (I'd have to look up all my costs).

How much and are they complete?

I don't have it installed yet, but I picked up a 9" from a linclon Versailes with the 4 wheel discs, the centerbolt width is exactly the same as the 57, should bolt right in.  thanks, Mark

Where are you located and is this a common swap out?

I am running Wilwood brakes. They have a bolt on kit for the 9" rear end.

When I bought tech kit ( about 6 years ago) it was about $600, included everything to mount them, I had to adapt the ebrake cable. It also included small eBrake calipers. So if you look behind my wheels, you see  that each rotor has two  polished calipers mounted on it.

Easy install.

I'm in Wisconsin, the hot rodders snap up all the linclon versials stuff. Might be hard to find, most 57 guys just do the front. Mark

Why not a Explorer late 90's some where I read that it is the same width. Not sure on ratios but worth a look.   BTW the wheel stud pattern is 5 on 4 1/2
