I have a Fairlane 500. But with the new 390/FMX combo, it appears 2" shorter. Are the wagons or skyliners longer?

the wagon are the same as the customs.on the 116 wheel base

All Fairlanes are the same length.  Customs and wgns are shorter.
Maybe get the shaft from the same car as the trans.
I've matched up length and u-joints in junkyards before also.

Yeah, it was nice, After I got the fmx yoke on, the 68 Galaxie driveshaft fits. So happy about that!
