this is james' dad. since he didn't answer you, i will. yes, we recognized joe when his division came in. his was the first one to enter the building. such a proud moment, to be an american and to see so many young men and women want to serve their country.

Oh yes, I saw him as soon as he came in the door.  He was the outside row and 4th in line behind their flags, and I nearly lost my voice screaming and cheering for them when they came marching in...I can't remember another time I was more proud, except maybe when he was born.  It was so good to see him, he has changed so much in 8 1/2 weeks.  Like dad said, it was a blessing to see them, 678 new sailors, ready to serve their country.  An awesome sight for sure.
