Rear axle seal

The drivers side rear axle seal leaks. I replaced the seal twice thinking maybe I got a bad seal the first time. Having to remove both rear axles to convert to disc brakes, I had the chance to measure the diameter of both axles where the seal rides and then compare. The one that is leaking measures 15 thousands smaller than the right side. Anyone have any suggestions? An over-sized would do the trick, but have never heard of one. Seems a shame to buy another axle, that is if I could find one.
