I hate it when even a dealer doesn't know the difference between a Fairlane and a Custom.

However, this looks pretty sweet...a big block and bangin' gears...oh yeah...

(I'm not a 57 Fairlane fan...don't like the rear quarters)

Whoever built this car spent all this money but didn't replace the sagging rear springs, I wonder where else he cut corners?

RICH MUISE

Can't tell if your being sarcastic, Lou. That car doesn't look to have any corners cut...that said, it would be nice to see some underneath shots, but I have a feeling that car is pretty nice below also......Or..... maybe he was just lucky and got the springs to sag into a perfect stance.

Would lowering blocks make the springs look like that?

Here is a video and more photos that include under the car from the dealer...

It does need better suspension for carving some curves...and sway bars! I don't see one on the front.

Love this body style!

That's exactly what I was going to say, but you beat me to it.

Hard to see, but other than the fact I missed the reversed shackles, I was looking at the lack of arch in the springs, and it also appears as best I can see in there, he has lowering blocks as well. Maybe dearching the springs and lowering blocks got it too low, so he flipped the shackles to compensate?? At any rate, I don't see anything on that car that looks like it was done/not done to save some bucks.

It looks like it is well done for a Customized. Not my real interest so I see about a dozen things I don't like  :003: And thats the first 406 I've seen with a PCV system? Not a bad idea but looks strange.
