my housing has been cut 2 1/4 inches overall I run 8 in rims with 3 5/8  back space with 275 15 60 tires. clearance is tight but I don't rub. I have currie 31 spline axles, trac lock and 4.10 gears. I'm running a 2003 cobra engine and 6 speed trans and at 70 mph my engine is taching 2100 rpms. the lip on fender was cut down not rolled by others.

Sitting here like a Monday morning quarterback and thinking moving the springs inboard would free up a bunch of space. But then it would need a custom (and smaller) gas tank. Just a random thought which also complicates exhaust routing.

It complicates exhaust routing and the stock emergency brake routing to.

Sure would free up a lot of space like you said though.

You can fold the edges of the gas tank up to give you more exhaust space.   Did this on both my sedan and T-Bird.
