Dual master cylinder

Want to replace the single master cylinder on a stock 57 Fairlane. Manual drum front and rear. Want to use a dual master cylinder for extra safety.  Drums seem to stop just fine. I'm used to them. Recommendation? Auto parts store for replacement? What year will fit? Any mods to rod?
