Awhile back was fortunate to buy all 12 issues of 1957 Ford Times. In the January issue one of the articles is on the fleet of Fairlanes bought for the US embassy in Moscow, Russia. Interesting is that it stated that the very first Fairlane off the line went there soon to be followed by 6 more and one station wagon. Cars drew crowds where ever they stopped. Article goes on to state it pointed out to the Russian population  the differences in our lifestyles.

Wonderful reminder of the Cold War days.

Do wonder what happened to those Fairlanes, specially #1. And how often those fleets were replaced.
