57 ford radiator still chewing on this bone whats ur input

well boys when i buy a new 6 or 7  fixed blade fan it will be too large by at least 2inches cause the motor is offset to the right to clear the steering gear box, so thats means a smaller fan to fit the hole in the shroud to line up correctly butttttttt im not against trimming the fan 2inches or alittle more,what u think will that throw the balance off enough i wont like it or will it just be a fan thats been trimmed down i have a motorcycle machine shop close an the prima donna that runs it is good as it gets,an he can cut the fan for me or turn me loose to do it.also depends on the tip of the fan some are bent at the outermost lip to catch the air mannnnnn one thing after another            i humbly welcome all opionions thanks from downtown cowtown tx
