Yep, the oil pump is on the outside. On the drivers side of the oil pan you will see a tube that fastens to the oil pump

Leaking at the adapter is a known problem with after market adapters made in China. Do you know if you have an original or and after market?

Is American. I pulled it apart and checked flatness on plate will try it again.
