HI,Guys, I was wondering when I switch from a gen. to a alt. will my idiot light work the same or do I need to go to a guage and I know they have 1 wire alt. now so I wonder how that would work with stock gauge?
Thanks Mike

you'll have to go toa aftermarket gauge and remove the bulb from the idoit light on the instrument cluster, it stays on if ya don't.

There is a complete write up on the alternator conversion, and how to make the dummy light functional. I can't find it.. but someone around here must have it.. Try the YBlocks forver site if it isn't in the message board archives.

If you can not find the article let me know I will look on my son car. Haven't got around to do the conversion on mine yet later this spring.

Hi guys,  I guess my conversion didn't work all that great after all, belt is tight  but get to much flex when I romp on it and get belt whine, i am looking at another bracket from gearhead, costs a  little more, but is made for the block.
