I can't use my old drive shaft with the 460/c6 conversion so what would be the best way to go here? Just measure the distance from rear axle to the tail shaft of the C6 and add a couple of inches for it to slide up inside the tail shft housing and go to the junk yard and try and find something to match with the same number of splines, 31 I think?

Thanks

there's a right way and wrong way to measure a drive line. heres how i do it.
with the weight of the car on it's wheels. sllde the yoke into the tranny all the way in ,  pull it back out 11/2 -2".
measure from the center of the front u-joint to the center on the rear u-joint.

HI JOHNS, I took mine in after measuring as above & had it cut to fit, works great :icon_bigsmurf: :unitedstates:

That won't work with mine because I'm going from the stock 3 speed trans to the C6 which has different size splined tail shaft. I wish I could do that!!

well your going to have to wait then until you get your motor and trans mounted and in place and have the right slip yoke before you can measure it up. any other way of measuring is the "WAG" system which rarely works out the way we want it to.
BTW " WAG stands for WILD ASS QUESS. BILL
