Amarillo.....Polk Street Cruise

August 4 is the annual Polk Street cruise night where the city shuts off part of the downtown area for 3 hours of cruising. The flyer I got on it says the 13th annual, not sure what's up with that because the cruise has been done for decades, so probably just a revival/new sponsors of the old time cruise.
Very popular event, there will be thousands lining the downtown streets. This will be my first year for it, hopefully my idling issue won't rear it's ugly head. Pat Fleishman and his dad have done it in the past years, hopefully we'll see them again. Another first for me, my wife and her cousin will be coming along. They both remember the cruise from when they were growing up here.
