This "Bezel' with the Black plastic background insert, with white lettering is from my '57 Ranchero. I want to change the plastic insert to a White background with Black lettering.
I believe the '59 Fords have the White background, but would like to know if the '58 Fords do also. Someone on the Forum knows.
Thanks
John
P.S. Does anyone have a good pair of the White background plastic inserts they would sell?

John, as you will probably know, 58 s also have the white door glass crank handle knobs and switch knobs. be aware that the 57 horn button is white and the 58 is black (the wrong way around) !

Gunter, Thanks for the reply.Appreciate your thoughts and vast knowledge.
A little background as to WHY I'm doing this. The gauges I have are VDO and have a white face, with Black numbers etc. The Radio that mounts in the '66 T Bird Console is a '66 T Bird radio with a white face as well.
In addition to changing that plastic piece, that identifies the switches etc.,I'll be changing the knobs to '59 Ford, White with the Silver Center. I'll be using power windows utilizing a '57 Thunderbird 2 window switch, with white buttons, I have all of those parts, so I have that covered.
As to the horn button, I believe I have that worked out as well.
I'm using a steering column from a '56 T'Bird, that I have cut down, and have installed a '59 Ford Turn signal switch in the T'Bird housing and will be using a'56 T'Bird Steering Wheel that came with the column.
If you see some "holes" in what I've said above please don't hesitate to speak up.
After looking at the plastic inserts from my '57, I think I'll see if I can gently sand off the black paint and repaint them white with black paint in the recessed letters. I'm going to try that today, as I wait for the weather to change and the humidity to lower so the bottom of the Ranchero can get some paint.

Turns out sanding the plastic and then painting it white is not an option. The Black is not painted, but rather a piece of black plastic glued to a piece of clear plastic. So I need these plastic pieces from a '58 or '59 to achieve the look I want.
I'll place a Wanted Ad and hope it produces what I need.
