orientation of lower glass channel

I'm about to have the side glass installed in the glass channel for my 70A 2 dr.  Just wanting to check on the orientation of the glass channel as installed in the car.  Can anyone tell me if the short slot for the rollers goes forward or backward when installed in the doors?  I don't see that info specific to the front doors of a two door.  The only picture I see in my shop manual shows the short roller slot forward in the back door of a 4 door.

Terry, the short slot is toward the front of the door on the Retractable door glass that I have.   John
