Need a source to rebuild a AC drier

I'm in need of a source that can "rebuild" an AC drier.

Have you tried Classic Auto Air? They restored a Mustang Evaporator for me.

Lynn........Yes, I did contact them. I also contacted Old Air Products, in Ft.Worth Texas. Unless I come up with a better solution/vendor, I'll go with Old Air.
Classic Auto Air advised the the wait list was 4 weeks out and once I got to the top of the list it would be at least another 4-5 weeks to rebuild the drier at a cost of $160.00 plus return shipping.
Old Air said the drier would be back in my hands in two weeks from them receiving it at a cost of $115.00 plus return shipping.
I readily admit I have no idea what is involved in rebuilding a drier, but 4 weeks seems excessive.

They were very slow on my project too but they did a good job.

Years ago they use to cut them apart and replace the element.
Probably just want to sell you a new one now.

Does 115 include the site glass???

mbmd57, the drier I need rebuilt does not have a sight glass, so I did not ask about the glass. On this early 60's vehicle, the sight glass is inside the car, next to the evaporator and the drier is in the front of the vehicle, next to the condenser, and a real bear to remove/install.

When I restored my A/C on my Skyliner, I put the drier in an oven for 1 hour at 250 degrees.  I was told by an old time A/C mechanic that you need to dry out the desiccant in the drier.  I did that and it has been working fine.  My drier has the sight glass on the drier.
