Just a thought since I have not had the frame off of my car... Is it possible that the space between the body and the frame has "grown" due to new rubber and tolerance stack up?

Lynn, I guess that is possible, but at this point, all I have attached to the body are the inner fenders to support/stabilize the core support
I'll see what tightening the bolt/nut will do.
Thanks

Picture shows the use of 2x4s to temporairlary stablize my custom core support until the fenders get installed.

Ranch

The Fenders of my '58' are aligned the same as '57'
Even though I've owned my Ranchero 51 years and never been in an accident in that time.
When I had my car pained a few years back they found the fenders tack welded top and bottom at the 'A' column and for the life of them they could not figure out why till the got the front end off and found the frame where you make your adjustments at had been split and bent.  Seems who ever did repairs on it, many years ago, didn't understand the design of it.
Well it took my guys a bit to figure how it was suppose to back together, (thanks to Jerry's site) so with some welding and some heavy hammers on the frame at the support site they managed to get it close  without knowing where it actually belongs.  Well after driving it for awhile it seemed to me that the front assembly was shaking more then I remembered, then I noticed the gap closing in at the bottom of the door.   I took it back and they must have added another shim to keep it in place. I still notice some shake on the front of my fenders but it might be because the paint is so shinny and reflects better.  Anyway  My gaps are holding pretty good at about an eight of an inch.  Just goes to show you never know what to expect with a 64 year old vehicle.
Ford didn't help matters with that strange way of aligning the front assembly either.
