i really enjoy looking through the vintage Popular Science and Popular Mechanix magazines.  Bought a box of 29 of them yesterday, from 1939 to 1959 hoping to find some cool articles.  Got them home and found these beauties.  I will post more as I go through them.  I learnt that cops ran 28 PSI so there tires did not squeal as much.  Enjoy.

Terry, I always likes those old Popular Science, and Mechanix Illustrated magazines in the 50s, 60s and 70s, for the car stories. Also liked the Gus Wilson "tales from the Model Garage" stories, and Norbey & Dunne new car road tests, as wells as the MI road test stories by "Uncle" Tom MaCahill. I think it was also Popular Science that had a "Say Smokey" Q&A section, by legendary racer and mechanic, Smokey Yunick. I think the cover price was 35 cents an issue.
