Not sure what the official name is, but if anyone has a spare , mine has a rust hole. It can be dirty, I have lots of elbow grease for sanding :).

Thanks,

Someone said they are the same top to bottom.  If that's the case and you had two sets with the bottoms missing, conceivable, one could splice the tops together and have one good pair.

Looks like this.  It's like metal piping. I think my extra went away with the upholstery part I sold.

That is the piece, Driver and passenger are different based on fastener holes, etc., but could be modified if anyone had a spare Passenger side also as the top and bottom curve are the same.

Thanks,
Andy

'59 were similar shape only screw hole alignment was slightly different but work well.

'59's didn't rust as easily due to '57 had those rubber cowl drains that would go bad and water would leak in the front floor kick area ad rust everything out.

They are pretty thin metal so they are really hard to weld as well as they were often dented.

It was easier, cheaper and much quicker to fix a pair than to find a good pair.

...and then, never used them.

I am also not sure I'll be using them as I am making my own kick panels...

I never used them either. Made padded panels for each side.....got a nice clean look just running them up to the windlace. Sent mine off to someone here many years ago.
Here's a link to how I made mine protecting the fuse panel/wiring, with a pic showing completed panel w/o the bracket in question. You'll have to scroll to the bottom of the page.
