My 57 just hasn't steered good since I put it together.  Actually it would even self steer sometimes.  Finally got my manual out and read it to see if I could find the problem.  So I found that there is a critical measurement of 10 7/8 in from center link stud to selector stud, Wow I was about an inch off.  Corrected the measurement, of course now box centering and toe in way off, will have it reset Mon.  Of course my memory is failing but I'm pretty sure I put it back together the way it came apart.  Never read the complete text, stupid.  Tom.
