Because I can no longer do large projects and to keep bordum  out side this winter, I decided to restore my dime chest cooler vending machine. I have had it for at least 30 years and it has kept my beer and soda cool all this time. All these years I thought it was a coke machine, but when I took the big red coke button off the front, I found that the button had been covering imbossed lettering that says "Drink Crown Royal Cola". When I stripped off the coke color paint the chest was a bright Yellow with red lettering. It is now in priemer and will be bright yellow this afternoon. Yesterday as I was block sandingg, I had to laugh, as it reminded me of a forum member that has not been wuth us for a few years now, Ron, Shoprat Woody. I am sure a lot of you remember him, at the end of all his post he allways had his logo, "I Hate Block Sanding". I find it amusing when doing one thing it reminds me of another.  I hope I havn't bored you with this random BS, Take care and have a Merry Chistmas and Happy New Year. Alvin

I remember Shoprat. He was a great contributor to our forum.
Ron is remembered by me for an unfortunate reason. He and I had a few (mild) words shortly before he died. That became a valuable life-lesson for me........bite my tongue when I can because there are times you can't take **** back. Ron died almost 12 years ago, I don't think anyone on the forum knew he was sick, I sure didn't. :(
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Alvin would you mind posting some pics of resto project? I think old vending machines are cool.
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!
