57 fairlane 500 390 4-speed clutch problems

Anybody out there that can tell me what I should do??? I have a 390 in my 500 and the stock manifold cracked so I put a set of shorties on it... The z-bar no longer will work so I put a cable on it and can not adjust it so I can change gears when it is torqued up.... It has a super t10 and I can not find a way to go hydraulic with it.... Just not enough room.... Any one with info would really help.... Thanks, Bo   Do not have the stock manifolds, my dad got rid of them and I do not no the numbers on them or I would go back stock.....  i have shorty headers on my 390 57 wagon and had to modify one tube slightly with a hammer , but they work great , who made yours??
