coil

While changing the coil 1 blk wire broke and I cant see where it came from.  One diagram shows it coming from a resister under the dash and another shows it from the distributor. On the coil there are 3 wire leads, re/blk on one side and blk on the other, it is the single blk line that broke.  Anyone had experience with pertronix igniter kits?

I put a pertronix in my 57 worked like a champ. Make sure and follow directions for the hook up. Some need the ballast resistor, some don't. Mine did. I'll look at my coil hook up in a bit and post what I see.
