Now you just need to adapt some 312 valve covers to that 302 like this guy did.  Looks great.

I grew up with and have a T-Bird with those valve covers...and I like my 302 valve covers for the 'wagon!

Rob, I never heard, what was the reason the 302 was going through so much oil. Tim

My buddy Steve thinks we have an intake manifold gasket leak on the underside into the lifter valley. I think he is right, because I torqued the intake down a bit more and it seemed to run better with no hesitation when getting on it....air getting sucked in from the lifter valley along with some oil. But...it seems to be leaking again.

We used the gaskets that came with the Edelbrock heads. I have had to change both exhaust manifold gaskets, so it makes sense. The gaskets that came with the Edelbrock heads seemed kinda cheap...and they were.

We will do another episode of Project 302 when we pull the intake to change to good FelPro gaskets.

Cheers!

I wonder how you add the oil with the T-Bird valve covers?

Good question, I guess pull the distributor and dump it down.  I would use a timing chain cover off a 260, it has an oil fill spout on it.
